Age Management Medicine

What is it and how does it benefit me?  It is the restoring and rebalancing of the body’s hormones to the physiologic age of 30.  At the age of 30:

  1. You were sick less often and when you did get sick, you recovered more quickly.
  2. Your memory was better and you were able to stay focused for a longer period of time.
  3. You had more energy, slept more soundly and awakened feeling more refreshed.
  4. Sexual function, activity, drive/desire, performance and enjoyment were greater.
  5. Heart, lungs, kidneys, immune system, brain functions were all better.
  6. Risks for heart attack, strokes, Alzheimer’s disease, cancers were lower.

Essentially your quality of life or more aptly your ability to live disease free was greater.  Age management does not necessarily allow you to live longer, but rather to live more years disease free than you would have done otherwise.

There is no hocus-pocus associated with this approach.  It’s based upon sound principles of internal medicine.  After a complete history and physical assessment is performed, diagnostic studies are obtained (including, but not limited to labs, cardiac, pulmonary, bone density, mammogram, etc) from which a complete and individualized prescription plan is created.  Sometimes requiring medications as well as supplements, etc. When needed exercise and nutrition recommendations will be made as well.

Insurance is accepted for this evaluation as well as prescriptions written.
